MultiPoint Integration Manager - a brief overview
Our core data integration and transformation software is ‘MultiPoint Integration Manager’. Transformation allows you to do more than mere translation - it frees you to adjust data, to add or subtract the valuable or redundant, to make calculations and conditional adjustments. It is ‘data heroics’ at your fingertips!
What is it? MultiPoint is an easily-deployed data management and integration toolset that enables you to achieve a coordinated view of company-wide data, both quickly and cost effectively. It takes the output from disparate systems and/or applications that would traditionally not ‘talk’ to each other and transforms data to how you want it to be ... useful, usable and user-friendly. Using just the MultiPoint product you’ll end up with load-ready data - or Excel spreadsheets if you prefer. Using our ASP service model we can run a fully automated and 'interrogable' data warehouse for you.
Who could use it? Any organization attempting to get a full overview of its business but frustrated by systems that don’t ‘talk’ to each other; or trying to integrate workflow without wholesale system redesign or replacement. Why don’t the existing systems talk? Usually it’s due to the varying platforms, applications and implementations consistent with a dynamic organization. Management ends up ‘flying - at best - partially blind’, or perhaps ‘being 30 days behind on the facts’.
What about other, older solutions? There are existing suppliers of large-scale solutions to address these same issues - although effective, they are all huge, expensive, slow-to-implement, training-intensive and inflexible. MultiPoint requires a mere fraction of their time and cost (in all aspects: purchase, training, implementation), is simple to learn, fast to produce results, and easy to manage.
But couldn’t I do this myself? MultiPoint Integration Manager is available to your organization as either a service or a product.
With the service model, Executive Intelligence handles everything. It deploys and operates MultiPoint Integration Manager and provides a secure, central data collection facility. After MultiPoint Integration Manager transforms your data, the solution delivers load-ready files to your operational systems, anywhere in the world. With the product model, you operate the solution in-house, using your own data collection facility. For companies taking this approach, Executive Intelligence can provide professional services to assist with setup or provide the training your staff needs to handle setup in-house.
In addition, Executive Intelligence offers complementary services that help you extend the value of your MultiPoint Integration solution. These include data warehousing and web-based reporting, provided as turnkey solutions operated by Executive Intelligence.
MultiPoint Functional Components
The MultiPoint Integration Manager solution includes four key components. All of these components can reside at remote locations - whether those locations are around the world or across the room.
MultiPoint Monitor
Watches for new data from source systems. Based on the rules created for particular locations, MultiPoint Monitor launches data validation or data transformation functions.
MultiPoint Validator
Tests new data for validity. Validator applies business rules to every field in every row of data and determines the validity of the source data, as well as providing detailed error logs.
MultiPoint Transformer
Transforms that data to conform to a target model. Transformer applies the business rules created for a file and transforms the source data to make it conform to the target data model.
MultiPoint Transporter
Securely moves data to a central collection facility. It is launched by either MultiPoint Monitor or MultiPoint Transformer. Transporter compresses, encrypts and securely transports the load-ready file to a data collection center.
MultiPoint Integration Manager is a rules-based system that is configured to meet your specific data collection and integration requirements. As your requirements change, the rules can be changed in minutes.
